JAZZ :: Ages 7+

Jazz dancing showcases a dancer’s individual style and originality.

Every jazz dancer interprets and executes moves and steps in their own way. Jazz dancing is energetic and fun, consisting of unique moves, fancy footwork, big leaps and quick turns. To excel in jazz, dancers need a strong background in ballet, as it encourages grace and balance.

Grade 1 Jazz (Age 7): Dancers can begin taking jazz when they are 7 years of age or in Grade 1 ballet. Dancers are NOT required to take ballet in Grade 1 jazz.

Grade 2 Jazz and Up: Dancers who are 8 years of age or older (Grade 2 +) must take a ballet class to be enrolled in jazz.
